Chair’s CornerA Letter from the Chair – Strength, Integrity, and Our Future TogetherAloha Fellow Republicans, As we step further into 2025, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your dedication, perseverance, and commitment to our shared values. The Hawaii Republican Party stands for integrity, accountability, and the unwavering belief in a better future for our state and country. Over the past year, we have achieved incredible milestones together. We have stabilized our party financially, built stronger grassroots networks, and positioned ourselves to take on the battles ahead. However, with progress often comes resistance. We are facing internal challenges that seek to divide us rather than unite us. There are those who do not believe in transparency, in fairness, or in growing our movement the right way. We have seen efforts to undermine our progress—from misinformation to unethical tactics that do not reflect the values we stand for.
Let me be clear: We will not be deterred. The Hawaii Republican Party belongs to the people, not to factions, hidden agendas, or personal ambitions. It is not a tool for individual gain but a movement for conservative values, for accountability in leadership, and for giving the people of Hawaii a real choice in their government. Every single member has a role to play in building this party. A Call to Action: Time to Stand Together We must rise above division. The Precinct and District Elections are critical moments for us to strengthen our foundation. I encourage each of you to get involved, bring in new members, and ensure that honesty and integrity prevail. This is not about personalities… It is about principles. Our state is in desperate need of true conservative leadership. The people of Hawaii are watching us, looking for an alternative to failed policies that have kept families struggling, businesses closing, and our islands burdened by mismanagement. If we allow internal fighting and deceit to weaken us, we are handing victory to those who do not share our values. I challenge each of you to ask yourself:
The future of the Hawaii Republican Party depends on us standing together. If we are to win elections, we must first win the battle within ourselves. That means putting aside personal differences and focusing on the real mission—serving the people of Hawaii with truth, conviction, and a vision for a better future. Learning from National Efforts Across the nation, we see bold initiatives aimed at rooting out corruption and enhancing government efficiency. The Department of Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.), led by Elon Musk, has been at the forefront of identifying and eliminating wasteful spending and fraudulent activities within federal agencies. Their efforts have uncovered billions lost to fraud and improper payments, launching a “War on Waste” that serves as an inspiration for all of us. oversight.house.gov Similarly, Attorney General Pam Bondi has taken decisive action against sanctuary policies that undermine federal law. By filing lawsuits against states like New York, she has demonstrated a commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring that our nation’s laws are enforced uniformly. nypost.com These national efforts highlight the importance of vigilance, transparency, and accountability—values that we must embody within our own party. Just as D.O.G.E. and Attorney General Bondi are confronting challenges on a national scale, we too must address any internal issues that hinder our progress and unity. Let’s move forward with renewed strength. Let’s reject division and build together. Our best days are ahead if we have the courage to fight for them. Mahalo for your commitment, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure a brighter, stronger Republican Party in Hawaii. With Aloha and Determination, Tamara McKay State Chair, Hawaii Republican Party www.thehawaiirepublicanparty.com |
