Aloha Republican ʻOhana,

This Easter season, we are reminded of the beauty of renewal, the power of sacrifice, and the hope that follows even the darkest moments.

As we reflect on Good Friday and celebrate the resurrection on Easter Sunday, we are also called 

to consider how we, too, can rise,to serve, to lead, and to make a difference.

As we move forward in this holy season, let us do so with faith in God and in each other.

Let us reflect on our shared mission, to build a future rooted in hope, integrity, and service to the people. 

May we lead with humility, act with courage, and never forget why we do what we do.

by the late Rep. Gene Ward in District 18, a man who led with heart, conviction, and service to the people of Hawai‘i.
